Today an amazing man of God, John Michael Mugerwa, was killed suddenly along with two other missionaries in a car crash in their home country Uganda, Africa. His wife, Evah, their 13 children, the hundreds of orphans they have rescued and ministered to, and also their friends at home and around the world are mourning the loss of a dear friend.

“Today I weep in the African way, loud and long with waving hands and shouts. Today I lost a dear friend, one gave me his bed when I visited, who taught me joy in the face of impossible odds, to take in orphans until your house is full and then to build an orphanage for hundreds more, one whose infectious faith and laugh combined to change the lives of countless muzungu, and who trusted me to preach to hundreds of pastors in many locations on his recommendation. You can see him here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kMGkEQ9HOs. Heaven is a brighter place, it is even more attractive to think of it now with him there. Love and healing shouts to Evah his wife and partner and to the many many he left too early.” - Andy Reese
“Lost a dear friend. Lots of tears in my household tonight. John Michael lived with us 6 weeks on his first trip here to the U.S. He endeared himself to us as a brother and friend. On many subsequent trips here, he always left the aroma of Christ. I took teams of friends to Uganda and he opened his home and his heart to my friends. Earth has lost a bright light, but heaven has gained another voice in that great cloud of witnesses. God blesssed us with John Michael Mugerwa! And God bless his family and his congregation.” - Tod Bell
